It is safe to say that our family is a family of foodies. While we love comfort food, having balanced meals and snacks on hand is important to us. One thing we always have in the house is dark chocolate, especially when a sweet tooth strikes. I am blessed to be able to do something I am incredibly passionate about and do all from the comfort of my home. My daily tasks involve creating content, taking pictures, editing and writing to just name a few. All while listening to funky beats, dancing around in my slippers and having the opportunity to just be creative.
While I start off high-energy, that afternoon lull hits and I’m always grateful when Hubs walks into my office with a snack. He knows me well because he knows I adore dark chocolate and fruit. Well, not so much. During the weekends, we tend to live the “wild” life by getting the house in order, catching up on laundry and household chores. When we aren’t on our one of our travel adventures, we enjoy being homebodies. There really is no place like home and sometimes doing nothing at all are the best plans to have.
Winding down for us is watching a good movie with the kids, having friends or family over for a good meal and just taking the time to do the things we don’t get to during the week.
Sunday mornings, Darasak surprises me and he will prepare a tray of all my favourite things for me to enjoy in bed. Packed with my journal and pen, books that I’ve been meaning to read (which I love and don’t get a chance to read as often as I’d like,) my favourite candle for some aromatherapy and a cup of black coffee. Throw in a bouquet of fresh flowers and a selection of sweet and salty barkTHINS and I’m in heaven.
